ROXAS CITY, CAPIZ – The National Food Authority (NFA) in Capiz is prepared to meet any rice requirement that may be needed for relief operations in view of any tropical depression that may hit the province.

Provincial Manager Oliver L. Cambas assured sufficient supply of rice for the province of Capiz saying that rice stocks had been strategically prepositioned at NFA Bolo and Dualag Grains Center to make it immediately available when needed.

As of November 23, 2016, NFA Capiz has a total rice inventory of 159,374 bags good to last for 27 days based on the 5,840 bags daily rice requirement of the province of Capiz.

Cambas also said that NFA will deploy rolling store to make affordable and good quality rice available to consumers.  NFA rice is sold at P27/kg.

Every Monday, the NFA rolling store will be deployed at the municipality and barangays of Pontevedra and Panay; on Tuesdays at Panit-an, Pilar and Res. Roxas; on Wednesdays, at Ivisan; on Thursdays at Sapi-an.  Other areas will be scheduled soon.  Those who wish to be served can request for a schedule with the local NFA office.

The NFA Capiz Operation Center will be activated for 24 hours starting at storm signal No. 1.                                        #  #  #
