Ugnayan and Food Guardian Advocacy Campaign 

Pest Control Officers (PCOs) and Provincial Quality Assurance Officers (PSQAOs) of NFA Region IV attended a two-day briefing on the operation of gas concentration meter for fumigation at NFA Regional Office in Balagtas, Batangas City on April 25-26, 2016.

          Representatives of Diversified Agro Chemical and Pycor Incorporated demonstrated the actual application of the gadget.

In her opening message, Assistant Regional Director Gondelina U. Alda by emphasized the significant role of PQAOs and PCOs  and their responsibilities in the conduct of quality assurance measures on NFA’s stocks.

             The two-day briefing included lectures on the operation of the gas concentration meter of both suppliers and actual application in the warehouses of GID I and GID II in Batangas City and Lucena.

          Mr. Roland Gomez of the Technical Research Services Department graced the conference and gave updates on the activities and programs of the department.

          The participants headed by the Regional Standard Quality Assurance Officer Melita M. Sevilla discussed some of their issues and concerns during the open forum. (Chel P. Infantado, Regional Information Officer)
