NFA Maguindanao headed by Provincial Manager Dr. Kitem P. Kadatuan conducted an Ugnayan and Food Guardian Advocacy Campaign in the municipalities of General Salipada K. Pendatun and Paglat on March 16 and 17, 2016 respectively.
Issues and concerns on palay procurement and rice allocation were discussed. Assistant Provincial Manager Umisalam D. Sarip assured Paglat Administrator Mr. Abdulkarim T. Langkuno and GSKP Administrator Mr. Alexander P. Bernan that their request for regular rice allocation will be acted upon provided that their rice retailers will secure NFA License.

Today, the National Food Authority is vested the functions of ensuring the food security of the country and the stability of supply and price of the staple grain-rice. It performs these functions through various activities and strategies, which include procurement of paddy from individual bonafide farmers and their organizations, buffer stocking, processing activities, dispersal of paddy and milled rice to strategic locations and distribution of the staple grain to various marketing outlets at appropriate times of the year.
