VISIT TO GOVERNOR NFA-Antique Officer-In-Charge  Oliver L. Cambas  and his staff  paid a courtesy visit to newly elected Governor. Rhodora J. Cadiao of the Province of Antique. Discussed  in the meeting was the need to forge a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the  NFA and the Provincial Office on credit rice sales during calamities for relief assistance  to affected families. Governor Cadiao was very thankful for the continuous partnership between the Provincial Government and the NFA for the delivery of public service to the Antiqueños.                 NFA-Antique Officer in Charge Oliver Cambas made  courtesy visits to the newly elected municipal mayors of the province, namely,  Mayor Mary Jean N. Te of  Libertad;  Mayor Jose Jeffrey Y. Lumogdang of Culasi;  Mayor Gil B. Bandoja of Tibiao; Mayor Gerry C. Necor of Barbaza; and Mayor John Lloyd M. Pacete of Bugasong.  OIC Cambas was accompanied by Sr. Accounting Specialist Herrielle V. Jumagbas.

BE FIRESAFE

             In line with the National Disaster Consciousness Month, the NFA Iloilo Regional and Provincial Offices had an orientation/lecture and actual fire drill conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region VI on July 19, 2016. Around 60 employees actively participated  in the drill.

PFAC 3rd QUARTERLY MEETING NFA Capiz Provincial Manager Benilda T. Fidel (standing) shows a sample of  the Imported Vietnam Rice  (VCEW) in 2014  to be auctioned to the farmers/farmers’ organization in the Province of Capiz during the Provincial Farmers Action Council (PFAC) 3rd Quarter Meeting on July 18, 2016 held at NFA Capiz. BRIEFING ON RA 9184 NFA-Antique Administrative Officer Gladdys A. Gallano (standing, above photo) briefs the employees on the salient features of RA 9184 also known as the Government Procurement Reform Act held recently. The briefing was spearheaded by the Provincial Procurement Committee (below photo L-R) composed of Supply Officer II Diana Joy S. Josue, Administrative Officer III Gladdys A. Gallano and PSQAO Eligio D. Asturias. The committee discussed the Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 9184 particularly on Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) and Alternative Methods of Procurement especially on procurement of goods and services. Sufficient Rice Stocks           

            NFA-Antique Officer-In-Charge Oliver L. Cambas assured the Antiqueños that the food agency has sufficient stocks in its warehouses for the lean months starting  July to September.

            In an interview with DYKA, OIC Cambas said that as of June 9, 2016, NFA’s buffer stock is good to last for 14 days, while household and commercial stocks are good to last for 52 and 9 days, respectively. Total industry inventory for the province of Antique is 75 days.

 

   

Distance Learning NFA-Antique employees (left photo) listen attentively to Administrative Officer Gladdys A. Gallano (standing, right photo) who discussed the Distance Learning Program on the Rules of Conduct and Ethical Behavior in the Civil Service designed by the Civil Service Commission in modular form for all public servants held at the provincial office on June 22, 2016. She emphasized the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees in the government particularly on the eight norms of conduct for government employees.
