Warehouse Inauguration NFA Officer-In-Charge Tomas Escarez (2nd from right) together with Ormoc City Mayor-Elect Richard Gomez (2nd from left) (left photo) cut the ceremonial ribbon during inauguration of the newly constructed 100,000 cavans capacity warehouse located at Brgy. San Pablo, Ormoc City (right photo).  They were assisted by Asst. Administrator Leticia Cruz (right) and NFA-Region 8 Regional Director Celedonio Mendoza (left). The structure is designed to resist a wind load capacity of 350 kph and earthquake intensity of magnitude 8 with insulated roofing. In his speech, NFA OIC- Administrator Tomas R. Escarez said that the new structure will respond to the food security needs of Ormoc City and the nearby municipalities, while Ormoc Mayor Richard Gomez underscored in his message that NFA was and still is one of the agencies that plays a very vital role which is the provision of food security for the people. Also present during the event were NFA-Region 8 Executives and employees, officers of the grains retailers and farmer’ groups, and Ormoc City  local executives.
